February is Black History Month, where we take the time to learn and reflect upon the history and experiences of those who make up the African Diaspora. It also gives us the opportunity to celebrate the work being done by Black People to enhance our understanding of the world and who are making a difference both locally and internationally.
There are several distinguished Black scholars here at the University of Alberta whose research output has included works that have enriched their chosen fields of study. As a starting point to help orient everyone to the work UAlberta’s Black Scholars have produced, we have created a reading list of publications by members of the recently announced Black academic excellence cohort.
Alternatively you can use the links below to view each individual scholar’s publications in the library’s catalogue.
