L’ACTIVISME POUR LE FUTUR DU NOIR

by Amy Southgate February 17, 2021
    written by Amy Southgate

    From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation

The Making of Black Lives Matter : a Brief History of an Idea

When They Call You a Terrorist : a Black Lives Matter Memoir

Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi : An Interview with the Founders of Black Lives Matter

The Skin We’re In: a Year of Black Resistance and Power

    The Skin We’re In- Documentary

Policing Black Lives : State Violence in Canada From Slavery to the Present

The Future of Change : Technology, Social Movements, and Social Change

Bearing Witness While Black : African Americans, Smartphones, and the New Protest #Journalism

Documentary Resistance : Social Change and Participatory Media

Even though our favourite festivals have been canceled this year, Edmontonians are keeping the Festival City spirit alive with socially distant celebrations. This weekend would have been the summer mainstay, Edmonton Folk Music Festival (EFMF). The festival has gone online this year with The Hill at Home, but we also found some ways to get folky with library resources!
