Here at the University of Alberta Library, we have been advocating for unrestricted public access to research, teaching, and learning materials for many years. By reducing the barriers for potential readers and authors alike, we contribute to a more equitable knowledge environment both on campus and in the wider community.

As researchers ourselves, we also take pride in sharing our works openly whenever possible. This often means publishing our work in open access journals, and/or using open licences. Many members of the Library team have conducted and released research openly since the last roundup. In honour of Open Access Week, we’re taking this opportunity to highlight their work over the last year.
