    Canada’s Largest Celebration of Reading

    … So they put on Andrew’s snowsuit. It had 15 zippers, 10 strings and 5 buckles. It took about an hour to get it on. When it was finally on Andrew walked out into the back yard, threw one snowball and said, “I HAVE TO GO PEE.”

    I grew up on the books written by Robert Munsch. In the 30+ years since I was a child, the landscape of Canadian Children’s Books have vastly expanded and I invite you to explore that landscape.

    During the week of May 2 – 8, 2021 our nation will be celebrating Canadian Children’s Book Week. Organized by The Canadian Children’s Book Centre this will be a week long celebration of Canadian children’s books and their authors.

    This year you can access The University of Alberta Library’s collection of Canadian Children’s Book Centre through our Curbside Pickup Service. Here is a small sample of our collection of Canadian Children’s Book Centre (limit to “Books”):
